Western Newfoundland – Land of Tuckamore and Vikings

Did a fourth-grade social studies module intersect with your retirement? Well, thanks to Ms. Ayers, your presenter’s latent curiosity led to multiple explorations of the land of Tuckamore and Vikings. Fill your gas tank, book your ferry tickets, or your flight and rental car, pack your passport and COVID vaccine card, take your fishing poles, hiking boots or walking shoes, and prepare to be amazed. This travelogue transports you along the western peninsula of Newfoundland and your introduction to the Appalachian spine of western Newfoundland, the Viking landing site, the people and the culture.
