About this Event
The Tree Felling workshop teaches directional felling using the open face felling method, and techniques to stay in control while felling trees to reduce the risk of injuries and damage to residual trees or structures.
Participants will first learn all the necessary techniques in a controlled environment with short upright logs, then will be given the opportunity to fell a standing pine tree in a forested environment under close supervision of the instructors.
Participants must have completed the chainsaw safety and handling workshop in fall 2021, spring 2022, or one of the fall 2022 sessions to take this course.
