Dr. Mark O. Wilson, Associate Professor of Christian Ministry at Southern Wesleyan University, will give a presentation on the 17th Century Ashkenazi Torah Scroll (written on a leather scroll in the Hebrew language), which was donated to the university by God’s Ancient Library. He will describe the story behind the Torah and the scribal copying process, as well as the unique features of this sacred text. This scroll, which was copied in Germany, was declared non-kosher and eventually made its way to a Torah Scroll repository in Jerusalem, where it was purchased for the university.
