The IEEE Student Branch is hosting a tech talk with ABB, a technology leader in electrification and automation. Come hear from Steve Evon, director of engineering, and Justin Curtis, engineering manager of Integrated Motors and Drives, as they discuss the evolution of electric motors. In the last 20 years, motor technology has evolved significantly. Energy efficiency to reduce carbon footprint continues to be a primary drive for new developments. Integrated power electronics and smart sensor are becoming common in motors today.

There will be a show-and-tell portion with motor cross-sections and smaller motors with integrated drives.

There will be FREE FOOD from Mellow Mushroom. Please RSVP by Monday, February 26th to ensure that we order enough food.
