State 4-H Congress - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

State 4-H Congress Application: 

4-H Youth ages 14-18 (as of Jan. 1, 2023) are invited to apply for this years 4-H State Congress on the campus of Clemson University June 28- July 1 . The theme for the 2023 Congress is "Once upon a time in A 4-H Fairy Tale". Come and discover how you can make your dreams come true.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Registration is limited to 70 youth (including current SC 4-H Teen Council members).
• The registration fee for Congress is $300 this year. We understand that some counties are able to offer varying levels of scholarships that would offset some of these cost. We encourage you to discuss this, or any other questions, with your county 4-H agent. You can find their contact information at this link:https://www.clemson.edu/extension/co/index.html
• Once you have completed your application here, your information will be sent to your local County 4-H Agent where they will review your application to determine eligibility. Once approved, you will need to complete the payment of fees before the registration is fully secured.
• You MUST be an active 4-H member with up to date enrollment in 4HOnline.
• NO refunds will be issued after registration closes on June 12, 2023. This policy is strictly enforced. 

When approving applications, preference will be given to youth that meet at least two of the following criteria, although your local Agent may substitute other criteria in the approval process:

• Completed a 4-H project in the past year
• Completed a 4-H Portfolio
• Served as a 4-H Ambassador
• Served as a club officer in your county 4-H program
• Turned in a 4-H project book
• Given an oral/written presentation in 4-H
• Participated in your county teen council
• Attended a leadership weekend or event
• Assisted in leading 4-H clubs or camps
• Any other activity approved by your local Agent
