Kathy is a Research Biologist with the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute. As a spatial ecologist, her research integrates the fields of landscape ecology, wildlife biology, landscape genetics, and biostatistics. Kathy seeks to understand and quantify how patterns and processes of human-driven disturbance and climate change affect wildlife populations and large ecological networks. Kathy is particularly interested in modeling connectivity within and among protected lands and in providing spatial products and decision-support tools that are useful to managers and stakeholders. Kathy obtained her B.S. from Tufts University, her M.S. from the University of Montana, and her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts.
