During this class, you will review the groups of vascular plants (mosses, ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms) including their characteristics, origins, and classification. Most of the day will be spent in the field focused on ferns, palms, trees, and the most common wildflower families. We will learn the natural history of Lowcountry flora and review how to identify frequently encountered species.

This program will be led by Dr. Chris Marsh and Kristen Marshall Mattson, co-instructors of the Low Country Master Naturalist class. Prerequisite Basic Botany.
