Attention all Senior 4-H members! Take the next step in your leadership journey by applying for the State 4-H Teen Council.

Plans for our 2024 State 4-H Congress are underway, and so are the preparations for the upcoming State 4-H Teen Council campaigns and elections.  State 4-H Teen Council is an incredible opportunity for passionate and dedicated 4-H members like yourself to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. As a council member, you will have the chance to collaborate with like-minded individuals from across the state, contribute your unique perspectives, and make a lasting impact on the 4-H community.

The State 4-H Teen Council serves as a platform for youth leaders to develop their leadership skills, foster teamwork, and engage in meaningful community service. By joining the council, you will have the opportunity to plan and execute state-level events, mentor younger 4-H members, advocate for important causes, and represent your county or region on a broader scale.

To be considered for the 2024-2025 State 4-H Teen Council, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be an active member of your local 4-H club or program of the current year (2023-2024);
• Be at least 15 years of age on September 1, 2024, and eligible for 4-H enrollment in the 2024-2025 year;
• Attend State 4-H Congress on July 9 - 12, 2024;
• Demonstrate a commitment to leadership, community service, and teamwork;
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Have the ability to attend council meetings, conferences, and events throughout the year.

The application deadline is June 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM EDT.  In addition, make sure you have your application for State 4-H Congress submitted well in advance as space is limited this year.  A selection committee comprised of experienced 4-H professionals will assess each application carefully, considering the applicant's achievements, aspirations, and potential to contribute to the council.
