In this field-identification course, learn about the foliage and flowers of mostly herbaceous plants. Join Allison Kelly, Natural Heritage Trail Manager, to explore the many habitats along the Natural Heritage Trail. Learn how to use a key to help with plant identification. For certification, both spring and fall classes are required. You will receive the following books in the first herbaceous class: Porcher and Ranier, Wildflowers of South Carolina, Elpel, Botany in a Day. Pre-requisite: Basic Botany.

•  Cancellations made more than 5 business days prior to the class will be subject to a 20% processing fee.
• Class registration cannot be transferred to other classes.
• Cancellations made 5 business days before the class will be refunded at the discretion of the SCBG.
