Establishing Manufacting Readiness

During her tenure in OSD, she has focused on building strong interagency partnerships to address broad transition of manufacturing issues such as manufacting rediness and the Advance Manucaturing Enterprise. Most recently, as director of the Manufactoring Technology Program, Ms. Ratcliff led the effort to establish DOD-led national Manufactoring Innovation Istitutes (MIIs) outlined in the 2013 State of the Union address. Those included America Makes, Lightweight Innovations for Tommorrow (LIFT), the Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation (DMDI) institue, the American Institue for Manufacuring Intergrated Photonics (AIM Photonics), Next Flex, Advance Functional Fabrics (AFFOA), the Advanced Tissue Bio Fabrication Institue (ATB), and Robots in Manufacting Environments (RIME). Ms. Ratcliff has a long aquisition careeer, including Program Manager for the congressionally mandated Defense Aquisition Challenge Program, Deputy Program Manager for the Foreign Comparative Test Program, and moree than elevel years in Air Force Test and Evaulation at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
