DIGISEW: Anisotropic Stitching for Variable Stretch in Textiles

Abhinit is a PhD student at Boston University working under the supervision of Dr. Emily Whiting in the Shape Lab.

He will be presenting his recent research work on a computer-driven stitch design and planning method for modifying material stiffness and tensile characteristics.

His work is useful in devising specialized textiles for medical, sports, automotive and fashion related products.
