SC Adopt-a-Stream seeks to educate SC residents about impacts on water quality and habitat and collect baseline, non-regulatory data on the health of our waterways. In providing baseline information about stream conditions, volunteers, local communities, educators, and local government agencies can partner to protect and restore our waters. Certified Volunteers are able to enter and share data in the SC AAS Database. 

You don't need to be an environmentalist, fisherman, or scholar to join this effort. All are welcome to join a workshop to become certified and add to the knowledge base of river health here in South Carolina! 

This FREE workshop will prepare you to collect water quality data in freshwater streams. The workshop will have an indoor classroom lesson and an outdoor field component. Please come prepared to get into a stream for the field portion of the workshop and bring a lunch and reusable water bottle.
