The Pride Living Library is the Clemson adaption of the Human Library, a Danish event where people could “check out” other people to listen to the story of their lives. The overall purpose of the original event—and Clemson’s adaptation—is to challenge stereotypes, to help bring a more nuanced understanding to different social identity groups, and to allow space for people from a variety of backgrounds to share their stories.
