Background:

Through a generous gift from the Tucker Hipps Memorial Foundation, CUPD and campus partners have been able to continue the work with campus-wide engagement for all students, faculty, and staff.  This year we will host a Summit filled with listening and educational sessions.  The biggest question we hear is:  How do I report?  These, and many other questions will be shared at the Summit.

Vision:

Create an environment where every member of the Clemson community has a safe and enjoyable experience as a Clemson Tiger.

Purpose:

Currently, one of the prominent national and state-wide concern for safety involves hazing. Hazing prevention requires a team approach and we are involving students, faculty, staff and all of Public Safety in our engagement. 

SCHEDULE:

• Location: Brackett Hall, 2^nd Floor Main Entrance (the rooms will be assigned based on the session you wish to attend.
• Schedule (Participants should try to stay for all 3 sessions if schedules allow)
• 6:00p.m. – 6:50p.m.: Hazing 101 (definitions, impacts, warning signs, and fundamentals of understanding hazing)
• Breakout Sessions (both CAPS sessions will be identical as well as both OCES sessions, this allows for participants to attend on session during Block 1 and the other during block 2). It is encouraged to attend both sessions if possible.
• 7:00-7:40p.m.:
• Session A – Impacts of Hazing on Mental Health and Available Campus Resources (Presented by CAPS)
• Session B – Academic, Personal, and Professional Impacts of Hazing Violations (Presented by OCES)
• 7:50 – 8:30p.m.:
