The Orangeburg County Fair was established in 1911, providing recreation for the residents of the area. The Fair encouraged the cultivation of better crops and the growing of better livestock. In 1911, the main exhibits included field crops, art, floral arrangements, and fancy work. There were also exhibits from the Boys' Corn Club and Girls Tomato Club, which were the foundations of today's 4-H Clubs.

That tradition is still honored today through partnerships with Clemson Extension and SC 4-H. The fair hosts 4-H Livestock shows and exhibition opportunities for the residents of Orangeburg County and across the State.

This year's 4-H Shows include Beef & Dairy Cattle, Poultry, Rabbit, Market Swine, and Dairy & Meat Goats. These shows are only open to current 4-H members participating in one of the listed show projects. There are opportunities for non-4-H members to exhibit animals and receive awards in the Fur and Feathers Contest. Non-members should contact the Orangeburg County Fair at Orangeburgfair@ gmail.com for more information.
