Master Equine Manager February 2019

The purpose of this course is to provide professional certification and comprehensive knowledge of equines to all that may be involved in their routine care.  The course will provide both classroom and hands-on, practical horse management techniques, essential whether you're a horse owner, stable manager, farm employee, groom, or are looking to expand your horse knowledge.

This course is open to all adults and will cover topics relating to:

- Welfare: Facility Safety and Design, Proper Use of Equipment

- Farm Management:  Farm Economics and Pasture Management

- Horse Nutrition: Forages, Feeds and Feeding, Balancing Rations, Nutritional Diseases

- Horse Health: Equine Emergency Treatment,  Hoof Care

- Practical Horse Skills:  safe handling, equine first aid, weighing and body condition scoring, feed tag inspection and analysis, identifying unsoundness
