About this Event
Attention parents, educators, and volunteers: Join us for a Mars Base Camp Facilitators Training on Monday, September 14, 2020, at 4 PM via Zoom.
The 4‑H STEM Challenge, formerly known as 4‑H National Youth Science Day (4‑H NYSD), is an annual initiative to inspire kids everywhere to take an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning. The race to land humans on Mars is on! The 2020 4‑H STEM Challenge will explore sending a mission to Mars with the activity, Mars Base Camp, which is a collection of activities that teaches kids ages 8-14 STEM skills like mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, and agriculture.
In this facilitators' training, we will unbox the Mars Base Camp kit and explore ways to engage youth in person and through distance learning kits.
Mark your calendar for Mars Mondays throughout the month of October where we will dig deeper into each of the 4 Mars Base Camp activities. You can go ahead and purchase your educator (up to 12 kids) or family (1-4 kids) kits today!
