Help Clemson Mappers map for good, and witness the impact of humanitarian mapping!

Due to the recent earthquake in Morocco and the activation of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team's disaster response, we will shift the focus of this Mapathon to aid earthquake relief and recovery. As many of you already know, last Friday night, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Many lost their lives, and many more lost homes, businesses, and cherished cultural sites.

The emergency response is ongoing, and remote mountain areas are still inaccessible to emergency crews due to road collapses and landslides.

Clemson Mappers is calling all students, faculty, and staff to join humanitarian efforts to aid in mapping infrastructure and buildings in the hardest-hit areas.

We will meet this Wednesday, September 13, at 3:30pm, in 412 Cooper Library to map infrastructure damaged in the region. No previous mapping experience is necessary.

Make sure to RSVP for the event on TigerQuest. Please bring a laptop.
