The Kennenlernen (getting to know) Series is a series of conversations hosted by the German Program at Clemson University in which we meet with alumni and members of the German business community to gain a greater understanding of the role of German language and Germany in our region and in the world. 

Catherine McDavid is a 2010 Clemson graduate and career automotive professional living and working in the South Carolina Upstate. She studied German and International Trade, and studied abroad in Bamberg, Germany during her Junior year at Clemson. She has also lived and worked in Munich, Germany as an engineer for BMW during her career.

Currently, Catherine is an Assistant Plant Manager at Lear Corporation in Duncan, SC, supplying automotive seating to multiple OEMs in North America
