Jim Fowler was a well-renowned photographer and naturalist. He collaborated with conservationists in the Appalachians and beyond to study, photograph and raise the profile of rare flowering plants, including native orchids. A selection of his breathtaking photos and paintings are on display in the Visiting Artist’s Gallery at the Fran Hanson Visitor’s Center from September 12 through November 14.
