Join the Student Association of Fire Ecology at Clemson on February 26th from 2-5pm for the first annual J. Andrew Martin Jr. Memorial Fire Ecology Research Symposium via Zoom. Like many of us in SAFE, Andrew Martin was an aspiring fire ecologist, so it is important to us to not only focus on fire ecology during this symposium, but also start a conversation about mental health and suicide prevention. We encourage you to donate to the Suicide Prevention hotline and/or the Arbor Day Foundation in memory of Andrew Martin. Presenters will include John Martin (Andrew’s Dad) as well as several undergraduate and graduate students doing Fire Ecology Research at Clemson University. To conclude the first annual J. Andrew Martin Jr. Memorial Fire Ecology Research Symposium, we encourage you to join us for a hike Saturday, February 27th at Nine Times Preserve, more details to come.
