Join us on August 16th to learn about the soils of Abbeville County and how to use them to produce your own vegetable garden. During this class we will discuss the various soil types that may be encountered in this region along with their pros and cons and how to modify them to promote the best growing environment for vegetable production. Also covered will be the basic planting, growing, and harvesting practices for crops with a focus on cool season vegetables.
