Are you interested in learning how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs, or drones) can be used as a geospatial data collection platform? Want to learn more about how terrestrial LiDAR scanning is performed? Find out during this hands-on workshop session, where you will:
• Process pictures from a UAV into 3D point clouds and aerial photos
• Try out a LiDAR scanner and process the point cloud data.
• Learn about the regulatory framework regarding drone usage for research and instruction
• Find out what resources and equipment are available from CCGT to support Clemson researchers and instructors.
This workshop is free for all Clemson students, staff, and faculty.
