Honoring Syd Cross

“Ink travels” refers to the constant challenge of keeping an active print shop clean.  In the context of this exhibition, the term also refers to the wide-reaching influence of Syd Cross’s teaching and mentoring.

After 33 years at the University,  Alumni Distinguished Professor, Syd Cross retired in 2015.  Similar to how “ink travels” this exhibition showcases Cross’s legacy as an educator and illustrates the positive impact she has had on artists across the nation.  A group of Clemson alumni was selected to develop a print based on something they learned from Cross.  The exhibition is a thoughtful tribute to the quality of Cross’s teaching.
