InDesign Basics: Part One

You must register for the class so that a Zoom link can be sent to you (right before the class starts).

This session covers:

  • Creating a new document and its settings
  • Understanding units
  • Understanding the workspace
  • Creating and Resetting a custom workspace
  • Understanding Panels and the Panel Menus
  • Importing the Clemson brand colors
  • Adding them to your CC library
  • Pasting vs Placing images and the Links Panel
  • Understanding Text, Image and Shape Objects and Frames
  • Resizing, Fitting and Moving Image Objects and Frames
  • Resetting the Shape of an Object Frame
  • Saving your File

Participants who want to follow along will need InDesign installed on their computers prior to the session.  Two monitors (or a tablet or phone with Zoom installed) is ideal (or you can just minimize the zoom window and watch me from a corner of your screen).
