On Saturday, September 30, 2023, the Clemson Smash Bros Club has a big monthly tournament coming up, Clemson Smash Series 40!

Kinda nice at Smash Bros.? Come show us what you can do! Your first tournament as a student is completely free! We're expecting a big turnout for this event, so there should be plenty of people to play with and/or compete against!

Come play Smash for a chance to win prize money, or just hang out with everyone and play friendly casual matches! Matches for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be streamed live on Twitch, and the videos uploaded later to YouTube! 

You can bring your own controller, or we also have some extras (though the quality of our extras may vary, so we recommend bringing your own).

There will be friendly/casual sets being played all day (feel free to stop by and play any time, even if you don't enter an event). Additionally, there are the following tournament brackets listed below.

Please show up at least 15 minutes before your desired event begins if you plan to enter any of them. If you do not wish to enter any events, there will also be friendly matches being played all day, show up whenever and leave whenever!

• 10:00 a.m. - Doors open (you don't have to be here this early! This is just when we open up)

• 11:00 a.m. - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Doubles (2v2) Tournament

• 1:00 p.m. - Super Smash Bros. Melee Doubles (2v2) Tournament

• 2:15 p.m. - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Singles (1v1) Tournament

• 3:00 p.m. - Super Smash Bros. 64 Singles (1v1) Tournament

• 3:15 p.m. - Super Smash Bros. Melee Singles (1v1) Tournament

• 9:00 p.m. - Estimated ending time (may vary, you can leave whenever you want though!)

Location:

Brackett Hall Room 100 (the big auditorium).

Parking is available at Sikes Hall. You won't be ticketed in green employee spots if you have a student pass, since it's the weekend.

Entrance Fees:

If this is your first time entering a Clemson Smash Series tournament and you're a Clemson student, completely FREE!

Otherwise, $5 for venue fee, and then $5 for each tournament event that you enter. The venue fee can be waived if you bring a full setup (tv/monitor + game system + game).

Prizes:

There will be prizes for the top placers of each tournament event! The top placers of the tournament will receive a percentage of the entry.

Under 50 Entrants: 1st: 60%, 2nd: 30%, 3rd: 10%

Over 50 Entrants: 1st: 50%, 2nd: 25%, 3rd: 10%, 4th: 7%, 5th: 4%
