Healthy Pond Series: Upland Management for Healthy Ponds

The Healthy Pond Series is a community-based discussion series for pond owners to learn and share stormwater pond management solutions. This virtual session is intended for homeowners and property managers in neighborhoods with ponds in the Charleston and Lowcountry Areas (Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties)

Carolina Clear Program Coordinator Kim Counts Morganello will share best landscape practices to prevent pollution and reduce flooding, including how she retrofitted her own yard. We will discuss using native plants and other techniques to manage stormwater before it reaches your pond, putting you in the perfect position to plan ahead for spring landscaping projects for your yard or community space. There will be time for questions as well.

This event is free and will be useful to anyone who is a homeowner in a neighborhood with a pond, HOA board member, property manager, or responsible for pond management or landscaping decision making in neighborhoods. Please feel free to invite your HOA board, property management company, or anyone else who might be interested.
