Are you a grad student? Have you been working hard all semester? Are you burned out and in desperate need of a well-deserved break? Well, you’re in luck! GSG is partnering with Oconee County Humane Society to bring some loving shelter dogs to campus for our PET YOUR STRESS AWAY extravaganza! Come to the Barnes Center on Tuesday, November 30th from 2-5 pm to meet some superstar dogs who are ready to help you forget your worries and bring a smile to your face. Not only will you enjoy some much-needed dog-love, but there will also be COFFEE, COCOA, and DONUTS for a mid-afternoon booster.

GSG is also partnering with sustainability to send these dogs home with some upcycled bedding! Are you moving? Downsizing? Or looking for a purpose for your old and gently used towels or bedding? Donate them to our shelter dogs! Bring your items to the Barnes Center on Nov. 30th, or to Poole 129 until Dec. 10th to donate. Don’t have extra towels? Feel free to upcycle your gently used pet supplies for both cats and dogs! We are also accepting food/water bowls, collars, leashes, treats, paper towels, brushes, food, and any other pet supplies that could use a new home. Don’t have any pet supplies? Feel free to make a donation from our wish list!
