Mr. Ratan Tata is an industrialist, investor, philanthropist, and former chairman of Tata Sons.
During Mr. Tata's tenure, the group's revenues grew to over $100 billion.
Mr. Tata received a B.Arch. degree from Cornell in 1962, completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1975, and received an honorary doctorate of automotive engineering from Clemson University in 2015.
The Government of India honored Mr. Tata with its second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008.
