Dr. Xiaoyu Xue, Assistant Professor
Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
Texas State University
Seminar Title: 'Mechanisms of ZGRF1 in Replication-Blocking DNA Damage Repair and Homologous Recombination.’
Bio:
Dr. Xiaoyu Xue received his PhD in Biology in 2008 from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, where he determined the crystal structures of the coronavirus main protease and pursued structure-based drug design under the supervision of Dr. Zihe Rao. He then joined Prof. Patrick Sung’s laboratory in Yale University for his postdoctoral training, where he was trained to understand conserved mechanisms of DNA replication and repair using methods of biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, and structural biology.
