On Wednesday, November 8, National First-Generation College Celebration Day, first-gen students can visit 101 Vickery Hall for educational opportunities, networking and free lunch:

• 10 a.m.-4 p.m.: The college outreach coordinator for the local TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, Precious Black, will be available to meet with first-gen students to provide guidance on searching for scholarships and completing the FAFSA, as well as on other services offered through the TRIO program.
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Meet other first-gen students, learn more about FIRST Program resources, pick up a FIRST Program t-shirt, and grab a complementary Jimmy John’s lunch.
