Event Planning On Campus Part I & Part II Panel Discussion

Each semester, Campus Activities & Events hosts event planning workshops co-sponsored by the Clemson Event Planners Association for faculty, staff, and students to offer more information about what it takes to plan an event on campus.

 

This semester, we will be hosting both our Event Planning on Campus Part I and Part II Panel Discussion workshops on Tuesday, March 10th in Hendrix Meeting Room A from 1:30 – 4 pm. Attendees are welcome to attend either or both sessions. The schedule is below:

 

1:30 – 2:20 pm: Part I

Part I is an information session covering basic campus event planning information including the following topics:

  • University policies or laws that could apply to your event
  • Clemson University food guidelines for catering and food waivers
  • Working with performers, artists, DJs, and other third-party activities
  • Advertising on campus
  • Events involving risk
  • Event parking
  • Ticket sales and participant registration

 

2:20 – 2:30 pm Break for those leaving Part I or arriving for Part II

 

2:30 – 4 pm Part II Panel Discussion 

During Part II, panelists from areas most commonly involved in event approvals and guidelines will be available for attendees to ask questions. These include representatives from:

  • Clemson Catering
  • Risk Management
  • CU Police Department
  • CU Fire Department
  • Landscape Services
  • Facility Use Policy
  • Event Accessibility (Access & Equity)
