March 3, 2021 (Wednesday) 10:00am – 11:30am, Online Seminar: Staying SHAARP: Evidence-Based Programs to Keep Our Brains Healthy with Dr. Lesley Ross, SmartLife Endowed Chair of Aging and Cognition, Associate Professor of Psychology and Associate Director of the Institute of Engaged Aging: Dr. Ross’s work in examining factors that keep older adults independent and mobile focuses primarily on cognitive and functional abilities. Her research on aging and its effects on issues related to brain functioning, includes older adults use of smartphones, brain games, and exergames. Her research seems tailored to our emeritus faculty population. Dr. Ross will review the evidence behind programs to maintain brain health and successful everyday functioning with a focus on driving.
