Emeritus College Online Presentation with Kelly Durham

July 1 (Wednesday) 10:00am – 11:30am, Online Presentation: More to the Story: The Golden Age of Hollywood with Kelly Durham, Local Author and Businessman: Mr. Durham has had a long interest in what some people call the Golden Age of Hollywood.  This period, which extended from the 1920s into the 1960s produced some of America’s great movies and was dominated by the Studio System.  As with most subjects, there’s more to the story of Old Hollywood than that which appears on screen.  One often overlooked aspect of the Studio System is how it very nearly collapsed in the face of public outrage on at least two occasions—and how censorship actually helped save the movies.
