August 26, 2021 (Thursday) 10:00am – 11:00am, Hybrid Interest Group: Memoir Writing with Marty Duckenfield: In August, the memoir group looks forward to starting the new academic year.  We expect more good conversations and sharing about collecting memories and writing stories of specific times in our lives that, for a variety of reasons, we want to record. We share methods for getting started and organized, where we are with our projects, as well as bits and pieces of the actual life stories. The group at the last HYBRID meeting felt that this group could lead a project, namely the collection of stories from our group. We will discuss that possibility next time. One suggestion was to focus on the first year or so of each writer's experience teaching at Clemson and to expand this by inviting all Emeriti to participate. We are interested in other ideas from the group as well for this project. We have welcomed new members at each session and always appreciate the new voices enriching our time together. Join us on the fourth Thursday of each month, either face to face or via Zoom. It's a great way to connect with our Emeritus faculty, both near and far.
