April 6, 2022 (Wednesday) 10:00am – 11:30am, Hybrid Group: 20th Anniversary Memoir Writing Support Group with Dr. Vicki Gillis: Support sessions for memoirs written by members of the Emeritus College for the collection of stories to be featured as part of the Emeritus College 20thanniversary celebration are available. Initial sessions will focus on (a) choosing a topic or event to write about and (b) narrowing the focus for the piece(s) you are working on. Initial sessions in January and February devoted time to questions and topic choices. Beginning in March, time will also be devoted to topic selection and narrowing the focus and sharing initial drafts.  These sessions will be hybrid and will have a facilitator to help us generate ideas and narrow the scope of our memoirs. Feel free to bring notes, ideas, partially written pieces, or musings and stories to share at these sessions.  Ideas to jog your memories: Think about memories associated with Teaching, Research, Service, or Leadership: Do you have a memorable outreach or international experience?; Tell how an event changed your experience at Clemson.; What do you recall about your first coming to Clemson that is interesting and/or memorable?; What created an opportunity for real impact/change/development that you witnessed or participated in at Clemson?; Share a description of the significant influence of another faculty member, staff, student, on you and your work at Clemson.; How did one of the many reorganizations impact you.; Tell about a collaboration with faculty in another field that improved your own experience.; Tell a story about technology in past decades which might show a stark comparison to today's world. Please see attached invitation. IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO LET US KNOW YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE!

Please contact Nicci Hanewald, nherman@clemson.edu, about joining the session
