Courtyard Sessions featuring Tigertown Roots

Bring your own chair or blanket.

Join us for an outdoor concert featuring the Clemson University bluegrass ensemble Tigertown Roots.

The Clemson University bluegrass ensemble was founded during the fall 2017 school year under the direction of Dr. Mark Hosler and student leader, Ryan Wilson. What started as an idea presented by Ryan as a project has turned into a talent-filled, high energy performing bluegrass ensemble.

The bluegrass ensemble provides students the opportunity to improve musical skills through membership in a traditional bluegrass band.  Under the guidance of the instructor and the leadership of a designated student director, students participate in song selection and creation of music arrangements.

Courtyard Sessions is a final project for the students enrolled in PA 3010, Principles of Arts Administration. Students were tasked with planning, organizing, and marketing every aspect of this event as the culmination of their discussions and lessons in class.
