Offered by the Ombuds office, this four-part series training builds capacity to prevent and manage conflict, communicate better and work together to establish a more productive and inclusive University culture.

 

Part 2 focuses on:

What to do when someone -- including you -- is emotional. This session discusses:

  • The dignity model
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Reframing
  • Excercises and roleplays are included to solidify learning.

This four-part series is available in-person and on-demand. It is for faculty and department chairs, and can be taken in a combination of in-person and on-demand sessions - and in any order. This series will be offered each year, so faculty who do not complete the series this year can pick it up next year.
