The Office of Teaching and Effectiveness and Innovation (OTEI) has announced details on an upcoming conference centering on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and teaching.

Mitch Shue, professor of practice and executive director of Clemson's AI Research Institute for Science and Engineering (AIRISE), will serve as keynote speaker.

The conference is sponsored by OTEI, the Watt Family Innovation Center, the Clemson Libraries, the Center for Career and Professional Development and the Rutland Institute for Ethics and will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

This year's conference theme centers on AI and teaching. Attendees will learn, share and discuss ways AI has changed or will impact their teaching practices and be inspired to help students effectively and ethically use AI as part of their learning journey.

Faculty presentations and posters - and industry and student panels - throughout the event are designed to bring all these voices to bear on the discussion of faculty innovation, student education and impacts on future careers.

*Accommodations are available by request.
