Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism's John W. Pope Lecture Series

This semester's John W. Pope Lecture Series, hosted by the CISC, features Dr. Stephen Hicks, Professor of Philosophy at Rockford University and Executive Director of the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship. In his talk, "The Postmodern Critique of Liberal Education," Dr. Hicks pits postmodern against Enlightenment philosophy to highlight why and how liberal education is now subject to strong critique and institutional abandonment.

  • What are my parking options for the event?

Visitors can park in the C-11 parking lot (Brooks Center parking lot), which is the closest parking lot to the Self Auditorium. Parking passes for the ORANGE or GREEN spaces in the C-11 parking lot will be available at the Self Auditorium check-in desk.
Otherwise, metered parking is also available for $2.00/hour across campus, including sometimes on Kappa Street (where the Self Auditorium is located).  To view available metered spots across campus, go here and select “metered permit."
