Chekhov Shorts

Russian author Anton Chekhov is known for his realistic dialogue and insights into human relationships. This duo of comical one-act plays highlights Chekhov's wit through characters in tense situations.    A widow is pressed to repay a debt and receives an unexpected offer in The Bear (Frayn, trans.), directed by performing arts major Austin Wilson.  The Beggar, a short story by Chekhov, tells the story of Lushkov who is given the opportunity of a lifetime.  Adapted for the stage by performing arts major Hakwon Hawkins.   Join us for an evening of Chekhov!
