One of the nation's few full-time vocal ensembles, the eight-member men's vocal ensemble is known for its trademark warmth and blend, innovative programming and engaging performances. In this program, Alone Together, Cantus explores the challenges of connecting in our modern age through works by Beethoven and Leonard Bernstein paired with such contemporary composers as Jennifer Higdon, David Lang, and Gabriel Kahane. Arrangements by Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles, and Dave Matthews and a new multi-movement work by Libby Larsen will also be featured. Our very own CU Men's Choir will join Cantus in a selection.
