About this Event
1949 Industrial Park Rd.
Youth ages 9-18 are invited to learn about food preservation and biscuit baking! We will process locally grown strawberries into jam that can be enjoyed on a freshly baked, homemade biscuit. Youth will learn about how these practices were done in the Great Depression era. They will learn about pollinators and gardening as it pertains to growing strawberries. Youth will learn how they can enter their jam into the SC State Fair’s Home and Craft Competition this fall.
