About this Event
Spatial analysis techniques examine the locations, attributes, and relationships of features in spatial data. Learn some of the fundamental yet powerful spatial analysis tools based on:
Proximity
•What is the average distance between coal mines and their nearest river?
•How many historic bridges are within 5 miles of a major fault zone?
Overlay
•Which parcels are inside the flood zone area?
•What type of soils overlap with the wetlands at Clemson?
This workshop is intended for GIS users who are familiar with data models (vector, raster) and basic tabular operations with GIS. It is free for all Clemson students, staff, and faculty. This is the fourth session in our GIS Fundamentals Workshop Series. Learn more at bit.ly/gisseries!
