Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in partnership with the Lexington County Soil & Water Conservation District will conduct a one day Backyard Poultry Workshop.  This program will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Lexington County Clemson Extension Office, 605 West Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.  

The program will begin 9:30 am and conclude at 4:00 pm.

The program will cover several important aspects of poultry production. 

Topics to be covered include:

  •  Getting Started
  •  Feeding and Nutrition
  •  Housing (mobile vs. permanent)
  •  Selecting Quality Birds
  •  Biosecurity Basics
  •  Predator Control

The cost for the one day seminar is $70.  This includes a flash drive containing copies of the presentation, fact sheets, lunch, and refreshments.  This program should prove beneficial to new and experienced poultry owners alike.  Space is limited so please respond quickly.
