Andy Warhol & The Everyday - Exhibit Tours in the Lee Gallery

F, Mar. 1 • 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. • Lee Gallery

20 MINUTE GALLERY TOUR led by Amanda Musick, Co-Curator and Lecturer of Beginning New Media, Art Department

A tour through Lee Gallery of the current exhibition, Andy Warhol Portraits and the Everyday. The tour will provide context for the exhibited work, Warhol’s artistic process, and his relationship to people and media culture.

The way his practice reflected media culture provides an opportunity to conceptually consider the images that surround us. Who would Warhol make portraits of today? How would he integrate the internet and social media into his work if he were a practicing artist today? Would Warhol post an Instagram photo of his daily pasta dish?
