Dr. Eric J. Moore will speak on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as a researched-based design framework that addresses and celebrates student diversity proactively. In this presentation, you'll briefly encounter what UDL is and why it matters at Clemson University today. You'll be given resources to pursue UDL further that will facilitate the design and delivery of courses in such a way that all of students may more effectively and efficiently achieve rigorous course goals.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and a copy of a syllabus for a course they are planning to teach (or one from a former course they have taught) for a hands-on, interactive time on how to design/update a UDL assessment at the end of the presentation.
