This National 4-H AI (artificial intelligence) Community Challenge is a first-of-its-kind virtual competition. The challenge allows participants to explore community-based issues, develop a solution to help solve a problem, and create a pitch video to share the idea. Youth ages 13-18 are invited to think critically and creatively about how AI could make a positive impact in their community—whether in agriculture, health, education, the environment, or any issue they care about. Using an online Project Board template, they’ll share their vision for a better future, powered by AI.

Challenge Details:

• Open to youth ages 13–18 as of April 1, 2025 (Don’t worry—we haven’t forgotten our younger youth! More fun AI learning opportunities for younger participants will be coming later!)
• Submissions are due by May 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST
• No cost to participate
• 4-H Membership is NOT required
• State winners will advance to a national competition this summer
