Public Meeting for Watershed Based Plan

Clemson Extension and 11 partners have scheduled a stakeholder meeting to discuss the “Twelve Mile, Eighteen Mile and Golden Creek Watershed Based Plan,” which is a grant-funded project targeting bacteria pollution in three major Upstate waterways.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 29 at the City of Clemson Council Chambers at 1250 Tiger Blvd. The agenda will include an overview of the watershed plan and a question and answer session. Refreshments will be provided.

The Twelve Mile, Eighteen Mile and Golden Creek watersheds, which eventually drain into Lake Hartwell, comprise more than 69,000 acres in the Piedmont area of South Carolina. Development of the plan began in September 2015. Once approved by DHEC, the plan will be eligible for additional federal and state funding to carry out the activities contained within.
