What is Teen Council?
The Laurens County 4-H Teen Council, comprised of 4-H’ers from ages 12 to 19, represents 4-H’ers from their clubs and/or projects and plans county events and other initiatives. The Council shall be a channel of communication among 4-H’ers, extension agents and volunteers. The Council shall promote all that is in the best interests of the 4-H members and will encourage leadership, citizenship, and life skills. The goal of the Council shall be to promote a positive learning experience.
Who can be a member?
Laurens County 4-H Teen Council Members must be at least 12 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2017. Members must be 4-H members in good standing. Members must attend at least 75% of all Teen Council meeting, activities and events.
